Biography: Secret
Soul (aka Tim Wright) has been DJing since 1999,
after buying himself a pair of belt drive decks
for £50. "They weren't great, but
they did the job.", says Tim. After a one
years practice he got his first set at the age
of 16, playing at Manchester's "Club Havana".
Since then he would get play fairly regularly
at various clubs in Manchester, and on his 18th
birthday he played in the Funky Lounge of the
Nukleuz UK Tour, with Andy Farley & BK headlining.
So far he has enjoyed
success with his name featuring on flyers next
to some big name DJs, including Yomanda and
The Rhythm Masters.
At the age of 18 Tim
began making bootlegs, beginning with standard
make-ups he progressed to sampling for his bootlegs
and now enjoys composing and producing his own
material. His debut track "The Pressure"
was a collaboration with Audiowhores' Graham
Lord (Word Of Mouth) and was extremely successful,
getting him noticed by DJs and porducers worldwide,
including Copyright, Brian Tappert, The Dreem
Teem, The Slammin Boys and Audiowhores.
